The 2018/19 Columbus Blue Jackets - by Moses

  What an achievement.  Four in a row against powerhouse Tampa.  Down 3-0 in the first period against the Lightening, the Blue Jackets, led by much loved John Tortorella, stormed back into the game winning miraculously 4-3.  Now they enter the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals alongside the New York Islanders after sweeping their first round opponents.  

  Columbus was not expected to do anything these playoffs in most peoples' minds.  'The Cinderella Story' some may say was born the moment Seth Jones scored the Blue Jackets 4rth goal in their 4-3 comeback win of game 1 in which they were down 3-0.     

The 2018/19 Toronto Maple Leafs for the Playoffs - by Moses

  It looks like the Maple Leafs are going to tear right through rival Boston Bruins in their upcoming sequential battle on ice.

  Morgan Rielly clearly showed the Hockey World that he is one of the five greatest defencemen of today this year, posting Salming type numbers.  Tavares and Marner are Gold in the context of scoring big goals, 8 of which were game winning goals for Tavares through his journey of scoring 47 goals this year.  Auston Matthews is surely a big time goal scorer of our day.  Let's see what the playoffs have in store.

  We will see a revelation of performance from big time players Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, John Tavares, William Nylander, Kasperi Kapanen, Andreas Johnsson, Zach Hyman, and Jake Muzzin, alongside Morgan Rielly.

  Freddie Andersen is clearly capable of securing a big playoff win for the city of Toronto.  This would be huge for the hockey market of Toronto as Toronto carries clout Worldwide.  The Bruins are strong offensively but lack the Leafs depth to the third and fourth lines.  The question is really just which team will outscore the other?  If one of the main top two lines on either team gets hot, watch out.

  I choose Auston Matthews to lead our great Leafs to a triumph of magnitude.  Playing alongside Andreas Johnsson and William Nylander the Swedes will be up to the challenge.  With Marner and Tavares teaming to score goals at an alarming rate we may we potting 6 a game going into the series against the Bruins.  They're not so bad.

 

Rats and Gestapo Techniques - Moses

 
      The toughest areas in Toronto, Ontario, Canada are Regent Park and Jane and Finch.  Both have been seedy run down areas that the city is trying to build up.  From the standpoint of going to school in Regent Park I have some experience with the inner city.  First, in Regent Park there is quite a bit of criminal activity and the techniques are passed through the penal colony of Toronto.  When someone in Jail at a maximum detention center wants to exact a hit, he sends word to the Arian Gang, or the Muslim Gang, or whatever gang they deal with there.  From there a gang will hire someone to stalk that person with a living rat on their person until they are located.  Never react to such a person on public transit as you've identified yourself.  This, in gang terms is provocation.  At this point a gang member acts out his orders and throws the rat at the person as he's been instructed.  At the point of being identified the gang members that are still there pursue the person until he's held submissive.

  The neighbourhoods that are in tough areas have a different mentality than the suburbs.  In a tough neighbourhood you always lock your door, and you learn manners differently than in most areas.  While it may be part of a liberalism to always be considerate of others.  Sometimes making it home is the battle.  Just as it is to be said that you might want to refrain from being flippant to someone in your area knowing the trauma they may cause you.  These areas are self protected independent from the police by security in the name of gangs.  While the police will run gestapo in a tough neighbourhood, the method of dealing with a rat by those within the community are heavily frowned upon and usually met by force from these gangs.  This combatant of the gestapo has paralyzed our children into believing that they have to be silent to their own parents.
