The Next U.S President - by Moses (a.k.a Stacey Marc Goldman)

  The U.S.A will have a new President next year.  Barack Obama has accomplished practically nothing in his two terms in office.  Where is PUBLIC Health Care that he promised.  The legalization of pot isn't Federal, the microscope may say trends in certain States (three to be precise) but this is a failed exercise nonetheless.  Obama has even succumbed to the N.R.A for Christs' sake.
  Anti-semitism is soaring globally, and where is the humanity when I.S.I.S troops are chopping off peoples' heads in a region that was supposed to be secured by American troops before they were pulled out?  I say 'an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth'.  For every head cut off, why not kill 50 I.S.I.S troops on the logic of zero tolerance towards atrocities in our day and age?

  In this writers' opinion the Republican Party would be the way to go for America for these reasons;

1.     Where is the validity of zero progress over 8 years?
2.     How can the Democratic Party justify the civil war we see now within America?
3.     Why hasn't the U.S President, Barack Obama consolidated its' debt with China?
4.     Why didn't the U.S Government under Obama create a real Social program for the poor?
5.     When did the Democrats give up on the 'Occupy Movement' (Canadian Justin Trudeau didn't)?

     The leadership among campaigning Republicans include Dr. Ben Carson and Donald Trump as viable worldwide leaders.  They are both success stories outside of Politics.  I question the validity of another Bush, as he is a company man (bought and sold property).  The Witch who's campaigning is a Yankees fan, and I hate the New York Yankees.  She'd probably sell out her own son to capture the fame of Presidency.  Huckabee, or whatever his name is - a joke.

  I personally would give my vote to Doc Carson.  He would alleviate a lot of the archaic police practices that have led us to this time of turmoil in the U.S.A.  'Shoot the Nigger' mentality within North American policing has got to go.  Carson also has his OWN views when it comes to dealing with administrations (likewise Trump) such as the A.M.A, and this would be a positive thing for an American who wants to cut red tape and not pro-create such a fathom.  My second pick would be Donald Trump.  Well spoken, a little rah rah perhaps, but are you really going to convince anyone that he would speak YOUR thoughts in debate? (A free thinker goes along way in my books).  Trump is also aces when it comes to negotiation.  Remember when the incumbent Lyndon Johnson was in negotiation with Marvin Miller and the Steelworkers Union in the late sixties?  Those were turbulent times and he saved thousands of jobs.  I would love to see Trump negotiate a debt consolidation with China as the U.S Ambassador to Asia.  He would bring it down enormously based simply on his knowledge of patents.  Let's see how it works out in America over the next election.  Will the U.S population vote in a Democrat like Hillary Clinton (who's husband took a blow job behind her back)?  A company man like current Vice President Joe Biden, who won't stand up to the current President on Democratic principles?  Will Batman appear (like he did at a Pirates game a couple of weeks ago)?  Tune in next time, same Bat-Channel, same Bat-Time
   

Steroids and Sport (rehashed) - By Moses

It was 1978 and Ken Norton was the Heavyweight Champion of the World. In his first defence of the belt, Norton was set to fight Larry Holmes. After Holmes and Norton pummeled eachother for 14 Rounds, the commentators of the fight gave their between round analysis. 'There has been some speculation that Larry Holmes is taking a new wonder drug called steroids.' 'Surely the drug isn't infallible.' the commentator said. At the start of the fifteenth, Norton knocked out Holmes mouth-guard. The gas had run out on Holmes and he was dominated in the Fifteenth with the ropes saving him in the final seconds, preserving a split-decision for Holmes and he became the new Champion of the World.
Three years later, Lyle Alzado (a defensive tackle with the Oakland Raiders) came clean to the American media and confessed that at least half of the N.F.L'ers were steroid users. The National Football League refused to act.
It was 1988, and during the Seoul Summer Olympics, Ben Johnson took home Gold for Canada in the 100 Metre Dash (also the 4x100m) with an unprecedented time of 9.78. But wait just a minute. Johnson's' urine sample tested positive for anabolic steroids and the Worldwide Audience watched in disbelief as he was stripped of his title. In the period 1978-1988 no Professional sports League banned their athletes from using anabolic steroids. It is also a very naive assumption that only Ben Johnson used steroids at Seoul. He was however, one of the few that were caught.
This brings us to the argument, at what cost will a Country, Sport, Team, or Athlete go to in hiding rampant steroid use in the name of winning Gold Medals, Championships, and pleasing to the eye statistics.
The Western World was condemning Eastern European training and conditioning methods; ie - impregnating their Women Athletes and aborting the fetus to raise estrogen levels, just prior to the meet. At the same time there were severe denials in the West, of rampant steroid use (and it was widespread). This leads us to the quagmire that we face today. It wasn't until the early nineties that the N.F.L instituted a ban on steroids. Hockey (N.H.L) and Basketball (N.B.A) followed suit, only after embarrassments of Olympic Athlete's Jackie Joyner Kersee and Florence Griffith amongst others during the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics.
Major League Baseball however, buried their heads further into the sand. In the early part of the 21st Century it was noticeable that Ballplayers had bulked up, yet M.L.B Commissioner Bud Selig still didn't put together a full-scale ban on steroids. In fact, after Mark McGuire's' monster 1998 - 70 Home-run campaign, he admitted to using legal performance enhancing drugs. The owners seemingly only cared about Gate Revenue and mind boggling statistics, not the integrity of the game. Then came along Barry Bonds superlative 73 Home-run Campaign of 2001, and the press were never a Bonds advocate. This began the smear campaign on athletes in Baseball. Finally, after the 2004 Campaign, Selig and the MLBPA signed an agreement to test athlete's for steroids as a BANNED substance, and it finally became a banned substance in MLB.
In one fell swoop Superstars Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens amongst others were named in a farce of a Congressional hearing, and, continuing the denial that was put in place by MLBPA, Selig, and the Owners, one should at least context the time-frame of steroids becoming illegal in Baseball, as a person can't be held accountable for using a 'legal' product on a whim of trying to look good to the American Public at a later date.
So here we are in mid-2011. Alex Rodriguez has admitted to failing a Steroids test in 2003. Does anyone really care at this point. There are not going to be any astericks next to his name, or to his numbers, as steroids weren't even a banned substance when he tested positive in 2003. This is really just a statement of the decline of Modern Western Civilization at its' finest. Suck the air out of the best of the best to deflect attention from the simple fact that this cheating was documented 30 years ago. It's really a fantastic idea. Scapegoat those people that set the records for you, filled the Stadiums, and won you Championships and Titles, let them lose their jobs and be blacklisted from their collective Sports. Americanism at its' finest, passing the buck, a bureaucratic wet dream.

This is not to detract from the accomplishments of current President Barack Obama, but rather to re-iterate that it was only a matter of time before an African American was named to the highest Polital order within the U.S.A.

President Barack Obama - By Moses

It's finally materialized for the record books. The first African-American President of the U.S.A. Is Obama well spoken? I think so. Is Barack Obama qualified? I think so. Does the Nation of America accept him as their leader? I think so.
Here are some issues that we may want to give some leeway to. Since 2007 the European Dollar has dropped 20% to the Chinese Yuan (likewise a 10% drop in U.S currency). Could it be that this is a Chinese excercise in trying to throw their weight around. Heaven knows the Chinese aren't terrorists. No problems in China eh? Considering that Obama spent a number of years in Southeast Asia, the chances are that he's well equipped to come to terms with the Customs within the Pacific Rim. Obama also Governed one of the most tricky states, in Illinois, and his ethnic diversity in the real world will probably pay huge dividends among suffering minorities having to stomach a possible lasting recession. In a time of change, people have to make sacrifices, and the American Public seem ready to accept the decisions that will be made by Barack Obama.
In all honesty I think we'll be looking at roughly a 20% cut in White Collar wages. Sorry people but I just don't feel sorry for the guy making $2,000,000/year having a new and improved $1.6 Million/year Gross. Here's the Democrat perspective. 30,000,000 people with an income of $2 million+/year taking a 20% wage cut, brings in $12 Trillion Dollars. Hell, Obama doesn't even have to cut anything from the space program at that rate. Is it feasable? Ask Robin Hood. He was a Democrat too.
During his speech, Obama talked of the fortitude of Country. Putting goals into a common domain. This reminded me of what my folks used to say about J.F.K. Whether or not the American people will stay united as they were today is unknown. As a Leader, Barack Obama will stand. As a Country the U.S.A and their people should be proud as they have a tremendous opportunity to harness negative American press that we see Worldwide.
Today is a proud day.

Is he a Usurper

I was at a dinner recently, where the conversation was all about Obama’s great victory, and the evils of the Bush administration. This was a group of people who have hated George Bush since he became president, and never get tired of talking about how he stole the election from All Gore, so I generally ignore their political rhetoric. Then they began talking about throwing Bush out of the White House for violating the US Constitution, and installing Obama instead, so he can get to work on fixing all that is wrong with this country. I pointed out that, despite appearances to the contrary; Obama has not been elected president yet, because the Electoral College elects the president of the US. Besides, I told them, if it the Supreme Court decides Obama is not a natural born US citizen that may never happen. The comments shouted at me varied from “That is just something dreamed up by right-wing lunatics,” to “If the Supreme Court steals another election I will personally go to Washington and kill the whole bunch of them,” and “I don’t care if he was born on the moon.” The commotion created quite a stir in the restaurant.

There is little doubt that Obama is an American, just as there is little doubt he is hiding something about his birth that could make him ineligible to become president. Otherwise he would have settled the whole issue of his citizenship by releasing a copy of the long form of his birth certificate, which would show the name of the hospital where he was born, and have the signature of the doctor who delivered him. Instead he has engaged three high-powered law firms to keep the long form of his birth certificate hidden. The short form of his birth certificate is a document that would have been issued when his birth was registered in Hawaii, no matter where he was actually born. Obama’s African grandmother claims he was born in a hospital in Kenya, and that she was present at his birth. The US code at the time states that a child born in a foreign country, to an American mother, is a citizen of the US if the mother has lived for at least 10 years in the US, five of those years after the age of 14. Obama’s mother was 18 when he was born.

I actually don’t care that much about the details of Obama’s birth, but I do find the constitutional process related to this issue fascinating. The lower courts have dismissed the various suits challenging Obama’s qualification to be president, because the courts found the people who filed the suits didn’t have standing. None of the courts have ruled on the merits of the various lawsuits. How can a US citizen not have standing to file a lawsuit on a constitutional matter? What is the responsibility of the Electoral College if the standing of the president elect is in doubt? If Obama becomes president, and later is found to be a usurper, are any bills or laws he has signed valid? Why is it that no one seems to be responsible for assuring a presidential candidate has constitutional standing for the office he/she seeks? Why would a legitimate presidential candidate want doubt about his standing to cloud his presidency, if all he has to do to make the issue disappear is provide the vault copy of his birth certificate?
