What is now known is that the vaccines that are being used by the U.S Government are effective treatments of Covid, and it's inevitable that the majority of Americans will receive their dose. This perpetual lock-down that we've been living in over the past year has led us to this point of time. The right wingers are selling the idea that you don't have to have the vaccine, and you don't have to wear the mask. A disgusting practice really, praying on peoples' fears to determine the legitimacy or illegitimacy depending on how their feeling and misguiding the young (people under than the age of 25). As a man I question the benefits and drawbacks of getting vaccinated. If the average American sees the benefits of the vaccine, they'll probably get inoculated. What I don't understand is why there is an argument to this, I mean don't most Americans value their President and listen when he asks for support, why cause division in your own Country?

The gist of the problem with some of the people in the US, with regard to taking the vaccines, is that some have reticence related to believing the message from the doctors and health professionals. They have been told different stories relating to the best way to handle the Covid pandemic.
Former President Trump caused a lot of confusion by sending mixed messages concerning what the doctors and scientific community were saying. He did not agree that all of what they were saying was true.
Generally, when there is a pandemic, the heads of the government are unified in their approach to solving the problem. They put all of their efforts in a unified approach to solving the problem, so that they don't confuse people. They do this for the good of the people.
Because there is division in the information presented between the Parties on the right and on the left in the US, many people are vastly divided in their beliefs. They are unsure of which side to believe. Leading up to the Presidential election, people were encouraged to take sides, and there was a lot of violence committed. The tone of the country was divisive and angry.
Following the election, there was not even consensus with the actual results, which were hotly contested by the former President and the Republicans as to if Joe Biden was the actual elected President. The transition of power was very confusing to the people. I personally have never seen such disharmony in the US in all my 74 years. Following the attacks on the White House, the country was in shock about the depths to which they had fallen.
So now that President Biden is getting the country organized towards handling the pandemic, and restoring order, the people of the country are not all on the same page regarding the actions to be taken. The unity in the country will take time to restore.
