An Approxiamate Assessment of the NHL Owners Lockout - By Moses

NHL Teams in the Black over the 2011/12 Campaign

1.  Toronto Maple Leafs
2.  Montreal Canadians
3.  Vancouver Canucks
4.  Winnipeg Jets
5.  Calgary Flames
6.  Ottawa Senators
7.  Edmonton Oilers
8.  Philadelphia Flyers
9.  Boston Bruins
10. Chicago Black Hawks
11. Detroit Red Wings
12. New York Rangers
13. Los Angeles Kings
14. New Jersey Devils
15. Washington Capitals
16. Pittsburgh Penguins
17. Buffalo Sabres
18. St. Louis Blues
19. Dallas Stars

NHL Teams that Broke Even over the 2011/2012 Campaign

1.  Minnesota Wild
2.  Colorado Avalanche
3.  Tampa Bay Lightening
4.  Nashville Predators
5.  New York Islanders

NHL Teams in the Red over the 2011/2012 Campaign

1.  Carolina Hurricanes
2.  San Jose Sharks
3.  Anaheim Ducks
4.  Florida Panthers
5.  Columbus Blue Jackets
6.  Phoenix Coyotes

NHL Lockout Review

1.  Still no U.S Television contract for the NHL
2.  Since Gary Betteman became Commissioner for the NHL there have been two work stoppages, and Canada has lost 1 Team (2 Teams before the Winnipeg Jets were re-instated).
3.  Most Team Owners are in the Black
4.  The average NHL Players' salary is roughly $2.5 Million U.S.D/Year

Solutions

1.  Cap minimum and maximum salaries until the collective bargaining agreement reaches its' next conclusion.  Create a provision to increase these caps by inflationary and cost of living adjustments  BEFORE the next collective bargaining session, so as to avert the next work stoppage.

2.  Downsize the U.S.A contingent of the NHL, as they're the ONLY ones' LOSING money.

3.  Establish 4 New Teams in Canada;
     a)  Quebec City, Quebec
     b)  Markham, Ontario
     c)  Regina, Saskatchewan
     d)  Halifax, Nova Scotia

4.  Sign a U.S television contract for the NHL that is worthy and appropriate to the average fan in Philadelphia and Chicago (real Hockey Fans).  In other words, Friday or Saturday Night Hockey as opposed to Sunday afternoon games.  NO streaking pucks to signify a pass or a shot.  Just the game itself.

5.  Give a realistic salary cap that the Owners can commit to, and create a provision to make adjustments to the cap before the next collective bargaining agreement ends that take into account inflation and cost of living of allowance.

6.  Create a Dollar Parity between each Nations' contingent.  In other words, negotiate based on only 1:1 exchange rates between U.S and Canadian currencies.  Allow for a Team Owner (regardless of which nation they're based in) $75 Million NHL Dollars/year to operate for Player Salaries. Call it NHL Monopoly Money.  Insure to each Team Owner that the Leagues Total Profits will be adjusted into real Dollars at the conclusion of the fiscal year.

7.  Take Profit Sharing (after all labour costs *) and divide it 50%/50% between the players and the owners.

8.  Fire Gary Betteman when all is said and done.

*  Labour costs include the players' salaries, likewise that of the Zamboni operator, stadium announcer, anyone working for the team Owner, including Management Salaries.

Diasable This !!! Newsletter - by Moses

Some have said we abide by the law 'Survival of the Fittest'.
What do we make of the accomplishments of Stephen Hawkins?  A man with practically no ability to fight back, yet he revolutionized the technology industry through deduction.
In the 1970's and 1980's a man was said to exercise 5% of their mind on average.  Today it is reported that a man exercises 20% of their mind on average.
  My late Uncle, Allan Marvin Kay, summized this on Stereo Devices;
Take the VCR Tape and run it master to the Receiver, and in turn run the Receiver master to the Television.  This is what we see in Post-Production Facilities across North America.  In other words my
late Uncle was a pioneer in recording techniques (as prior to his technique the television was master to the VCR tape, leading to sound degradation).
Allan took several post-secondary courses yet he still couldn't find placement in the workforce.  At that time (during the 1970's) people with Cerebral Palsy had no chance to enter the workforce.  In many
ways' it killed him to not be able to enter the workforce and have a chance to shine.
The social service quagmire leaves many people across Canada wondering why people on Disability Allowance don't re-enter, or rather enter the workforce.  There is still a major stigma towards people on a disability pension.  Most Canadians look at a disability pensioner as being a financial burden.
In actual fact, most I know that are receiving a disability allowance in Canada want to be employed.  Instead of looking at the negatives of a persons' disability, we should be looking at the innate
abilities that even disability pensioners' possess.  This would, in turn allow for more disability pensioners to enter gainful employment and exit the current social service quagmire.

Conceptual Technology - By Moses

When 'Star Trek Generations' premiered, we saw a revolutionary premise in the name of 'Halo-decks'.  In its' purest form the halo-deck was virtual reality within different realms in software design.  Maybe a few years away from today's' age, this conceptual technology is still a promise of what will come.
The analogy I would make is this;  Should you store Commodore 64's (64 Kilobytes) onto a 2 GB Flashcard that would entail 31,250 Commodore 64's stored onto one 2 GB Flashcard.  Should you desire to store 2 GB Flashcards onto a 40 GB Hard-drive, you would be looking at twenty 2 GB Flashcards.  Should you look to store 40 GB Hard-drives onto one Terabyte Hard-drive, you'd be looking at 25 separate 40 GB Hard-drives.  The software implementing each transition is considered to be conceptual technology.  In other words the Hardware is actually software based.  This is essentially the foundation of buffer zones.  An interface through a point of contact through a port.
When people watched 'Star Wars', it was the first time that a halo-gram was introduced into the widespread media.  A halo-gram, or halo-deck is essentially an eighth dimensional replication of reality.  While a third or fourth dimension replication is understood in technology software, eighth dimension replication has been slow in development (in real-time).  The halo-gram (a message of past sequential events) is available and ready for today's' consumer.  A halo-deck, however, is real time (present time) continuance of this principle.
'Brainstorming', a 1981 Feature Film featuring Christopher Walken and Nancy Woods, was the first Motion Picture to feature a halo-deck premise;  Where all thoughts in fantasy become reality.  It also promoted a change in psycho-somatic study of nightmares and night-terror.  Fear, in study, is continuance of being, through passage from one port to another port (*).  In digital study, software to software is remedy and enables a halo-deck, as change is inevitable.
Horror movies influence or propagate a change in ones' conscience and create perceptions, as evidenced by subliminal messages in the actual tape feed (1 frame every 900 frames that is precisely the same image, leading to deduction - every 0.001111 seconds).  Similar to a software based port, this implants an 'image' (X) to a mans' soul, shaping ones' conscience.  A software port to another software port is essentially a halo-deck as the 'image' is ongoing.  This is direction of propagation, interface, or transference in virtual reality, leading to spacial time changes.

(*) Ports - a) AES/EBU - American/European Broadcast Standard
                 b) SPDIF - Phillips
                 c) USB
                 d) XLR
                 e) Quarter Inch
                 f) Eighth Inch
                 g) RCA w/ Copper Inductance
                 h) MIDI - Musical Instrument Digital Interface

The OPEC Controversary - by Moses

It is Tuesday, May 22, 2012 and Canadians are paying roughly $1.30/Litre for gasoline. In the U.S gasoline prices have more than tripled since 2003. As recent as 1988, Canadians paid 45 Cents/Litre. OPEC, essentially the same in dynamics as the Colombian Drug Cartel, has created a dichotomy of warfare. At this point in time it is probably advantageous to distance ourselves from OPEC Nations in trade. It is known that both Europe and the America's (North, Central, and South America) could self sustain in Oil and Gas, in excess of 10 years currently. This would create an influx of economies within the four aforementioned Continents. With a ten year leeway we could see a huge breakthrough with respect to Electric and Hydrogen fueled vehicles. By the way, oil and gas powered vehicles 10 years from now with this mandate would result in much lower gas prices, as demand for gas would be much lower, even if only 25% of the vehicles on the road in ten years were electric or hydrogen fueled. In terms of warfare, what are North Americans buying into; an idea that Trillions of U.S Dollars have to be traded to OPEC Nations yearly to support their' economies. This is fallacy of the highest order. Sultans, Sheiks, and Kings, pocket roughly 90% of the revenue generated by crude oil sales, and have their populations living below poverty lines incomprehensible to North American standards. By the way, has anyone noticed that the Nations that make up the Oil Producing Economic Countries' collective populations are roughly 98% Muslim in their faith?

The Occupy Movement Part 4 - by Moses (a.k.a Stacey Marc Goldman)

Breakfast in bed for 600,000

The lineup for the 2015 Occupy Concert;

Pink Floyd (with Roger Waters), RUSH, The Rolling Stones, Triumph, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, The Tragically Hip, Our Lady Peace, Alice Cooper, Neil Young, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Gordon Lightfoot, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Ozzy Osbourne, The Wailers, Eric Clapton, Santana, Robbie Robertson, Metallica, The Replacements, Van Halen, Kim Mitchell, April Wine, ZZ Top, The Steve Miller Band, Bruce Cockburn, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Sean Kingston, The Black Eyed Peas, LMFAO, Tracy Chapman, Van Morrison, B.B King, U2, Aerosmith, Sting, RUN DMC, Snoop Dog, Nickelback, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston (in spirit), Mariah Carey, Motorhead, Supertramp, Willie Nelson, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, The Pixies, Quincy Jones, Delfalo Marsalis...

The question as to how is this feasible becomes a question of want. We're fighting for our livelihood in streets across North America. The media broadcasts UFC matches practically every hour on the hour. In the NHL off-season this past year three former enforcers, namely Wade Belak, Derek Bougaarde, and Rick Rypien all committed suicide. The age of instant gratification has taken away the craftmanship of work formerly associated with the Canadian and American labour force. What's going to happen to North American' retirement funds if our Dollar becomes de-valued to 2 cents on the dollar? $2 Million in RRSPS becomes worth $40,000. In a global economy this could in fact happen. What North America needs to realize is that paying off the National Debt brings us an air of hope. We will be able to sustain an economy with our heads above the water, not below.
The Canadian National Debt was starting to be paid off in 2001, here's a detailed account of our National debt over the past 50 years;

1961/62 - $14.825 Billion
1970/71 - $20.293 Billion
1980/81 - $91.948 Billion
1990/91 - $377.656 Billion
1996/97 - $562.881 Billion
2001/02 - $511.946 Billion
2007/08 - $457.637 Billion
2008/09 - $463.71 Billion
2009/10 - $519.1 Billion
2010/11 - $551 Billion
2011/12 - $586 Billion (Projected)
2012/13 - $605 Billion (Projected)

As we can see, we're back to having a yearly deficit in the Billions. To pay off the National Debt brings us back to reality, which we so sorely need.
Many people have asked what the occupy movement stands for, and it stands to reason that 'occupying' ties in to the equation. So let's make a deal Canada.

100 New Government Towns with 600 people in each new town. Tell us what you want us to produce. We'll divy up the 600 people so that there are 200 1st Nations' People, 200 Caucasian People, and 200 African Canadian/American People. Let each new town (or Kibbutz) be regardless of faith or religion. The total amount of people in this context is 60,000. Let's do this in every Province and Territory. In fact, let's do this across America too. This would mean that there would be 720,000 across Canada, and 3,000,000 across America now gainfully employed with housing. We'll harvest Olive Oil, Canola Oil, Canadian Maple Syrup, Chocolate Milk, a new Cola Product, Health Food Products...

At this point we can start doing business with the Bank of Canada, instead of corrupt private Banks.
